Sophie graduated in Psychology from Aston University in 2002 and began her career as an Assistant Psychologist in pain management services. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2009 and provided psychological assessment and intervention in pain management, cancer care, renal services and general medicine in the Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust, before joining Connect Health in 2018. She is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the Wolverhampton Pain Management team and National Psychology Lead for Connect Health.

Sophie is passionate about improving the emotional wellbeing of people living with long term conditions and persistent pain. She is particularly interested in how we can draw on the knowledge and expertise of patient champions to deliver services and promote self management.

Beyond work, Sophie is a keen runner and an active member of her local cricket club.
