Stream: The Business of Physical Therapy

Co-location of physio/MSK services in community gyms de-medicalises the treatment and promotes health and wellbeing, encouraging patients to take up regular long term exercise.

It also enables an exercise MDT approach including Rehabilitation Therapists, Physiotherapists, Health Advisers and fitness industry professionals.

The objective is to prevent long term conditions including MSK (primary prevention) or reduce re-referral (secondary prevention) with an increasing emphasis on biopsychosocial approach/coaching, empowerment, shared decisions, self-care and prevention

This session will demonstrate the importance of collection, consumption and sharing of data for physiotherapy services: Exploring how data can enhance the commissioning of rehabilitation and physiotherapy in musculoskeletal pathways.
