Tom joined Connect Health in February 2018. Prior to working for Connect Health, Tom has worked in private healthcare and gained experience working in the Ministry of Defence. However the majority of Tom’s experience came from working in NHS primary care MSK.

Tom’s current role at Connect Health is Advanced Practice Physiotherapist specialising in rehabilitation and he is a member of the MSK Special Interest Group. Tom has a keen interest in guiding patients with psychological or social driven disability and helping them improve their quality of life through graded exposure guised as exercise, whilst promoting improvements in the prevention of frailty and non-communicable disease. He is also fascinated by the biological drivers of poor joint health/osteoarthritis.

Away from Connect Health Tom has recently taken a role with the Physio Matters team and is a founding member of the MSKR grass roots think tank. He is currently completing his MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University. Tom continues to provide physiotherapy services for England Athletics and First Contact Practitioner services for the Dudley area.

When not working Tom has a keen interest in weight lifting and following football and supports Liverpool. He enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends and works as a volunteer to the Blue Cross.
