She particularly enjoys managing the team, improving access for patients and developing relationships with local stakeholders, including training with primary care clinicians. Previously, she was a Clinical Lead in Pain Management Solutions since it was set up in 2007 in Sheffield. She was the first UK Nurse Consultant in Pain Management in 2021, working in chronic, acute and cancer pain management, and undertaking research in sickle cell pain.

She graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1990, and started working in HIV and genitourinary medicine in London and then intensive care.
