Hozefa has been a qualified physiotherapist for over a decade now and has worked in the NHS and private sectors. He previously worked in professional sports, working for BCCI (Board for Cricket Control in India), National Cricket Academy (NCA) and Baroda Cricket Team (Ranji Trophy). Hozefa has treated prominent Indian Cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Shreyas Iyer, Irfan Pathan to name a few. Hozefa’s interest in Musculoskeletal and Sports Science led him to undertake a MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from Cardiff University following successful completion of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy training at Curtin University (Western Australia).

He has been working as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist with Connect health since 2016. He previously worked as a Clinical Triage and Audit Lead within the Herts Valleys MSK service and he has recently appointed as Advance Practitioner Team Lead for the service. He is very enthusiastic to drive the physiotherapy profession forward. He has a keen interest in evidence-based practice, education and improving patients’ quality of care using a shared decision-making tool. He is currently pursuing sonography qualifications and has interest in rheumatology care. Hozefa currently splits his time between continued clinical practice and leading the APP team. Outside work he enjoys watching football and cricket, travelling, loves his food and truly enjoys spending time with his daughter.
