Deborah joined Connect in 2007 and is currently a Senior Physiotherapist and Team Lead across both South Tyneside Community Services and Occupational Health Physiotherapy in the North East.

Deborah qualified as a Physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 2003 and worked within Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and private practice, before moving back to the North East to join Connect in 2007.

As Community Services Team Leader Deborah’s role includes supporting the clinical development of Physiotherapy staff within South Tyneside, and the operational delivery and development of the service across the contract. This has included development of a Paediatric pathway and Women’s Health pathway within the Physiotherapy service.

Deborah also manages an Occupational Health contract and the delivery of the Physiotherapy service, while continuing to practice clinically as a Senior Physiotherapist. Her focus is on early intervention and injury prevention through assessment, treatment, and support that is specific to both employees and the work they carry out. Deborah has experience in working across a wide variety of business sectors including manufacturing, transport, service industry, and laboratories. This allows her to draw on best practice and current evidence to support the employees and employers.
