East Kent and Swale: Physiotherapy for MSK conditions involves the assessment and treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, spinal discs, nerves and other structures to keep you moving.
There will be an assessment with the APP / CATs clinician first for the joint injection.
Joint injections aim to help break the cycle of pain and inflammation that can arise from irritable or arthritis joints and soft tissues. They must be completed as a part of wider treatment plan.
All group sessions should have a minimum number of six participants.
The average exercise class is expected to last for one hour. Exercise programmes may include the following elements:
• Aerobic activity
• Movement instruction
• Muscle strengthening
• Postural control
• Advice on activities of daily living (i.e. type of bed, pillow, sitting at a PC)
