Mr Alasdair Kerr has been appointed General Manager of Occupational Health Physiotherapy services for Connect Health, where he will be closely supporting the Executive team.
The move reflects the growth and diversification of Connect business as a key provider of musculoskeletal and physiotherapy services to businesses operating across a range of industries throughout the UK.
For over 30 years Connect has remained at the forefront of proactive and preventative approaches to improving employee health and wellbeing, reducing sickness absence and accidents at work, increasing business performance and productivity, with significant cost savings. Connect is now able to draw on the breadth of experience that Alasdair will bring to further develop our service offer and continue the rapid growth of the business.
Alasdair is an expert in customer relations and strategic planning. He has over 17 years’ experience in business development and account management while working for the Port of Tyne. Alasdair had worked for the Port since 2001 beginning his career there as part of a graduate recruitment scheme where he established himself as their first Environmental Officer.
Alasdair soon transferred from the operational side of the business to the commercial where he was promoted through the company to become Commercial Director. This role saw Alasdair responsible for developing new business for marine services, dry bulk, breakbulk, automotive, ferries and cruise markets. This provided a range of experience with high profile industry clients such as Nissan, VW group, DFDS, and Drax Power, as well as managing the charges for all vessels calling at the Port.
