We currently deliver 5 Rheumatology services across 5 different CCG groups, always working in partnership with local Acute Hospital Trusts to ensure integrated service delivery.

This is a very exciting time for us as our South West Essex services an exemplar of our service model in delivering excellent patient care across MSK and Rheumatology.

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Consultant Rheumatologist who shares our passion to drive forward changes in care for our rheumatology patients This will be achieved in this role by providing specialist Rheumatology clinical support/advice to the community rheumatology clinical staff workforce. Enabling the service to triage urgent cases to specialist care and manage non-urgent rheumatology patients in the community alongside stable review patients.

You’ll maintain a portfolio relevant to the role of a Consultant Rheumatologist.  You’ll provide expert clinical practice to the service, bringing innovation and influence to clinical leadership and strategic direction in the field of MSK Rheumatology services for the benefit of patients

We’re looking for you to work with the Regional Manager to ensure that all regional services are in a state that would receive a report of Good or Outstanding in a CQC inspection at all times.  You’ll play a pivotal role in the integration of research evidence into practice. This will be delivered by enhancing quality in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, management and evaluation of MSK Rheumatology to improve the outcomes for patients.

 Who we’re looking for

 You’ll need to be organised, consistent and lead by example.  You’ll be focused and have an attention to detail, the ability and desire to measure results of activity, whilst being able to multi-task will be factors influencing success.

We’re looking for you to have of delivering excellent patient outcomes and satisfactions, along with shaping and developing service KPI’s.  You’ll have proven experience of researching best practice and delivering outputs and publications.

You’ll be positive, constructive and approachable and carry out tasks with fairness and integrity, you must have experience of being commercially focused, a good communicator, patient orientated and committed to the development of quality and service as a market differential and business ethos.

You’ll have proven experience of being able to achieve the appropriate balance between clinical delivery and meeting the financial needs of the business.

Working alongside all our clinical roles within the MSK Service, you will be key in developing and implementing our specialist Rheumatology Service and developing this service pathway; an opportunity to shape foundations for exceptional care.

Developing and promoting a positive and dynamic image and culture, you will be key in fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local Consultants and GP’s, and provide support and training to other clinical staff and students.
