By 2035 it is estimated that 23% of the UK will be aged 65 and over, so it’s important that we correct the negative stereotype which surrounds growing older.
As part of our contribution to Older People’s Day, we’re celebrating an ageing workforce and promoting the positive benefits that an older workforce can bring. Age is frequently used as the criteria for job capability, however this should not case. Instead, knowledge and expertise, which a more experienced worker is more likely to have, should be the reason behind the decision to hire someone.
